Ferry Safety and Technology Conference

On May 6, the conference will take place at the Waterfront Museum Barge in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Speakers will update us on (1) Electric ferries, what’s very new and what are the decision factors; (2) the dilemma of the carriage of Lithium-ion battery electric vehicles aboard ferries, and what to do; (3) the impact and response to changing global weather, and waves; and (4) progress with the Blue HIghway — moving urban freight by ferry for profitability and for civic benefits..

On May 7, the conference goes online to experience the award-winning student ferry designs. and then goes on the water to visit key sites on the Blue Highway.

This conference is being convened by the Worldwide Ferry Safety Association (WFSA).
